Pay Gap Reports

In the UK, employers with 250 or more employees are legally required to publish details about their gender pay gap. This is part of the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017.

What is the Gender Pay Gap?

The gender pay gap shows the difference in average earnings between men and women across our workforce. This is calculated in two ways:

  • Mean: The average of all salaries added together and divided by the number of employees.
  • Median: The middle value when all salaries are listed from lowest to highest.

These figures are based on payroll data taken on a specific day each year, known as the snapshot date. We’re required to publish our results within one year of the annual census date, which is 31 March. You’ll find our reports both on the government’s website, as well as below.
